RAGS TO RICHES FILM PREMIERE

Last week saw the band, minus Dave unfortunatly, due to holiday commitments,

attend the much awaited film premiere of "Rags to Riches" the film as we all

know now that the band made their big screen debut!!

The premiere, held at the Royal public house in Pudsey, where the majority

of the internal scenes were shot, saw a vast array of cast and crew, wives

and girlfriends and invited guests mingling and posing for pics for the

"Yorkshire Evening Post" before the screening, not to mention sampling

the odd beverage or two!!!

A fantastic night was had by all and the band themselves scrubbed up very

well for a set of punks thank you, arriving in true hollywood style in a

stretch bubble car, no, sorry, that should read a stretch limosine, to walk

the short distance red carpet to the pub amid camera flashes from the

gathered crowd.

For those wishing to purchase the film, copies should hopefully be available to purchase at future gigs, priced at £5.00

PHIL HITS THE CANVAS

No, he's not taken up a short career in boxing but he has had a rather spiffing painting done of himself, much to his amazement. Knowing nothing about the project, the picture (seen below) is taken from that rather special night last year when the band played Headingley Stadium and has been painted as a one off by Nicks dad, Michael Gill, a member of the Farsley Art Club in Leeds, who wanted to produce a new and dynamic painting of a musician.

The last painting, in oils, of a bass player that Michael did was of the legendary Count Basie's bass player back in the early "swinging" sixties, and was exhibited at Farsley Library in February 1966 and at the Jubilee Hotel, Leeds in March 1967.

The new version of Phil is painted this time in acrylics and the picture has already gained numerous comments such as "A powerful piece of work" (B.Pulford) and "A raucous, energetic painting" (Chris Foster)!!! ......we think you will agree.

"THE STATIC PICTURE BOOK"  DVD

A new DVD entitled "The Static Picture Book" which will feature still photographs showing, literally, the changing faces of the band over the years, some never before seen, from the bands conception in 1986 through to present day is currently in the making.

The slide show format will have a rolling story line with the photos along with transitions and music by a number of various artists, (yet to be named) The DVD is expected to run for approximately 45 minutes and will feature some fantastic photos of the band live and backstage which will also give a facinating look at how the band have errrr, shall we say, altered, oh okay, aged!  over the years, well some at least!

A must for anyone interested or with insomnia or just plain nosey or maybe just  in need of a bloody good laugh.

Further details to follow.
